Florida or Bust!!!!

Well, Saturday was finally the day that we had been waiting for all summer long. We loaded up and left town about 5 a.m. The girls were very excited and could not wait to see the beach.

Since my parents were going to, we decided that it would be a good idea to split the girls up and let one ride with my mom and dad to cut down on the whinning and fighting. This proved to be an excellent idea. Both the girls did great on the long car ride.

This was the first morning in Flordia. What a better way to wake up than overlooking the ocean. The girls had breakfast on the balcony, then it was time to get dressed and race down to the beach!

Feeding the seagulls is always a fun source of entertainment while playing on the beach.

This is our condo in the background. We stayed on the 6th floor.

Kennadi had put on her own bathingsuit. As you can see, she put it on backwards!

On Monday, we traded in the beach for a while and went to the Tanger Outlet in Foley, AL. It was a monstrosity, a little overwhelming. But I was happy b/c they had a Gap Kids Outlet and a Gymboree Outlet! Yeah!!!!

A little crab hunting after dark is always fun. The girls were ready with nets in hand. Although they quickly handed over their nets to the guys once the crabs made their appearance.

This was our little set-up we had. We put up our canopy and left it so we would have it everyday. There was hardly no one on the beach. It was a great time to be there.

We also enjoyed some pool time as well. It felt good after the sandy, salty beach.
This ended the first couple of days of our beach vacation. Stay tuned for the rest of the trip!

Bogg Springs 2009

We just got back from another fabulous year at church camp. This is the camp that I have been attending since I was about 2 years old. It is like a second home to me. Some of my best friends in the whole world run the camp. Halle has been attending since she was two and Kennadi has been going literally since she was in the womb!

This was the morning we left the church.

Kennadi was so excited to get loaded up and leave for camp!

This is a classic camp picture. The girls posing for a pic while playing on a bunk bed. Fun times!

Church camp wouldn't be complete without a hair-do session. Kennadi loved giving Neenaw a new look with some bows.

It rained a lot while we were at camp. It worked out good for Kennadi because she is all about her rainboots and umbrella. She had a blast!

The girls, striking a pose!

This was a funny game to watch. They wet and soaped down a slip-n-slide that they had to slide down then......

They had to turn round and round on this bat then......

Run back up the slip-n-slide. As you can see, Halle was very dizzy.

Kennadi participating in the preschool recreation time. Don't you love the shades?

Halle and Kristie playing on one of the water slides.

These are some of our campers waiting on church to start. We attended services twice a day. Once in the mornings and then again at night. I got lucky and Kennadi slept during every service.

The girls were so happy when their daddy joined us at camp mid-week.

Halle, participating in tug-of-war on a very mudy day.

Kennadi and her pal Tyler.

Brant and Kennadi playing a little mini golf.

This is Kennadi on the last morning. I had packed everything else up and was waiting on her to wake up so I could pack my bedding. I finally had to start taking the sheets off with her in them.

We had a great week, but we were all glad to be home too. We all missed Emmi a lot and I know she missed us as well. So, until next year, we said goodbye to camp.

Trampoline Fun?

Tonight after we had finished unloading the camper and washing all the laundry, we decided to go outside and mow the yard. The girls had already had their bath and were in their pjs. I decided to let them go out and ride their bikes on the concrete. Before I knew it, they were on the trampoline having the time of their life. I had to snap a few pics of the after effects of the trampoline fun. Needless to say, they had to get another bath!

Fourth of July Camping Trip

This year we spend the 4th at Petit Jean Mountain. This was the first time we have been there. We had so much fun. It is absolutely beautiful there! My mom and dad came up on Saturday to celebrate the 4th with us. We all had a nice time.

The girls posing for a pic just before leaving the house.

Relaxing with a popsicle. Oh, the life!
Standing by the lookover at Mather Lodge. This is where we ate dinner the first night.
Kennadi proudly waves her flag to celebrate the 4th.

This is a bike parade they have every year. People gather at the visitor's center and decorate their bikes in red, white and blue. They then bike through all the campgrounds. Halle really wanted to be a part of it, but we decided to watch this year. Maybe we will try it next year.

The girls had so much fun riding their bikes at the campground.

A little water balloon fun.

We took the girls on a small hike called The Rock House Cave.

The Rock House Cave.

This is Stout's Point. It has the most breath taking views.

This is where we waited to see the fireworks, that is until it started raining. (That is a whole other story that is really quite amusing. If you are curious, ask me!)

This was a great Fourth of July.

We made a lot of wonderful memories and are hoping to make this a yearly tradition.

Horseback Riding

Halle and her love for horses. Honestly, I don't know where she gets it from - not from me I can assure you. We have a friend at church who rides and has several horses. She has taken Halle riding before and promised to take her trail riding. This past week we all loaded up and headed to her house for some trail riding. Halle absolutely loved it! She did not want to quit. We all enjoyed riding (although I was sore for 2 days).

Even Kennadi got in on some of the fun. She enjoyed the trail ride too.

Halle's 7th Birthday

Seven years already! I can hardly believe. First, I can't believe my "baby" is already 7 and second, I can't believe I am old enough to have a 7 year old! Where has the time gone?

This year, Halle decided to have an all-girl princess party at Pinkabella in the Hot Springs Mall. She was very excited and it turned out really cute. The girls had a lot of fun.

I just have a few pics of the party that I took at the beginning. Kari was gracious enough to take pics for me with her camera. I didn't have to worry about getting all the cute shots b/c I knew she would. She will be editing and posting them on her blog soon. I can't wait to see them. Thanks again, Kari! She is so talented. If you are looking to have some pics done, she is your girl! Check out her blog at wrightimagephotography.blogspot.com

The girls anxiously awaiting the party fun!

Kennadi not sure what all this stuff is about.

Even princesses need to relax!

Birthday girl - Princess Halle. It was such a great night for her.
